Grandad Tomlinson’s Syllabub
150ml/1/4 pint white wine
2 tblspns lemon juice
2 level teaspoons finely grated lemon rind
75g/3oz caster sugar
300ml/1/2pt fresh double cream
1. Put wine, lemon juice, rind & sugar into a bowl. Leave for a minimum of 3 hours.
2. Add cream and whip until mixture stands in soft peaks.
3. Transfer to 6 sundae glasses. Leave in a cool place for several hours before serving.
